 Kom Ombo Temple 

This temple is situated on a hill that rises some 18 mts  above the surrounding plain . it's on an island , dates back to the Greek & Roman period . dedicated to 2 different group of gods headed by Sobek the crocodile God & Harories - hours the elder -. the only temple that has 2 entrances side by side , 2 sanctuaries .

As you can see here the 2 entrances to the temple the left entrance is for Hours , the right on is for Sobek .

The back of the temple

 

 

 

At the back of the temple you see one of the most important scenes of the surgical instruments . also the delivery seat .

The crocodile museum

 

As this temple is dedicated to the God Sobek the crocodile God , it's no wonder that in the area there were lots of mummified crocodiles , some of them are displayed now in the museum .
 

The Nile crocodile (Crocodylus Niloticus) is the second largest reptile in the world, some have been known to grow to 21 ft in length and weigh 2,400 lb.
