The pharaoh who in life was one of the least esteemed of Egypt 's pharaohs has become in death the most renowned

his name means the Living image of Amon he was a pharaoh in the 18th dynasty 1332-1323 BC. New kingdom he is the Son of Akhenaton but not from the royal wife Nefertiti Ruled while he was 9 , died at the age of 19 .

the only thing which made him very famous is the discovery of his tomb . the only tomb of a king to be found intact , with all the jewelry packed inside .

His tomb was the most complete ancient Egyptian royal tomb ever found discovered by the British Howard Carter in November 1922 after 5 years of excavation . the discovery was financed by lord Carnarvon .

his tomb in the valley of the kings in the west bank of Luxor . It's one of the smallest tombs in the valley . may be because he died unexpectedly in a young age .

now almost all the valuable things which had been found in his tombs are exhibited in the Egyptian museum in Cairo .

his mummy is in a glass box in his tomb . also his sarcophagus and the outer coffin are in the tomb .
