What is this ?

when reading about the ancient Egyptian civilization or when you go to the temples you will hear a lot about some symbols , in this blog i will give you a hint about them . here are the most famous and common ones that you gonna see on the walls of the temples :-

1- the cartouch , oval shape , only for royals to write their names in so once you see a cartouch that means you are in font of a name of a king or a Queen in ancient times one king has 5 names , only 2 of them are written inside a cartouche - his first name ( as RAMSES , TUTANKHAMON & HATSHEPSUT) - His coronation name , a title he gets once he ascends on the throne of Egypt the coronation name is the one which helps us to distinguish between the 11 Ramese !!

2- the eye of hours , mainly for protection , Hours - with falcon head - is the god of protection .

3- The scarab beetle , mainly symbol of resurrection , and later considered as symbol of good luck .

4- key of life , called ANKH IN Hieroglyph , symbol of long life and the eternity
